A Few Seconds in Tremors

Sitting on the bed with a blue pillow on my lap , alone, I was trying to make something out of a bangle and some threads......
And the wooden roof over my head suddenly started making noise. I thought that it must be the daily business of the rats running over ... but then I found my hand holding the bangle and the other hand holding a thread-piece both along with the blue pillow shaking on my lap. 
The other second I realized that the whole bed along with me is shaking back and forth............."Hey! what the hell is happening!"

I looked up again thinking that it wasn't those rats and up I found the fan shivering... I kept all the stuff aside and got up while I also noticed that the almirahs in front had voluntarily started revealing their stuff ...!

Jumped off my bed and downright ran out of the quarter ... " Earthquake!!!!  tremors..."
By the time I reached out, everything had stopped already. No tremors... nothing!!! Well, I guess I had experienced three halves of it on the bed itself  ... hahaha!
And all this happened in 10 to 12 seconds' time!!!!

What a shaking experience!

I was in the hospital that time.
Everybody panicked! ran out! But the earthquake that came in Mandi in 2005 was more quaky! This was bacha compared to that!

याद ही है तेरी बस!

गर्मियों की छुट्टियों में तेरा यहाँ आना तेरी आहटों से दिल की धड़कने बढ़ जाना हम खेलते थे लुका -छुपी इधर उधर  इस कदर के वो पत्थर भी गुनगुनाते थे गीत कोई पुराना । मैं करती थी इंतज़ार हर वक़्त , हर दफा , जीते थे वो दिन, हर लम्हा हर पल सफा , अब याद ही है तेरी बस , इधर उधर सोई सी , नम  हैं ये आँखें जाने कहाँ खोई सी ॥ वो कुर्सियों को मिलाकर एक छोटा घर बनाना माँ की चुन्नियाँ थी छत का एक बहाना खेलते थे घर घर इधर उधर इस कदर के हवा भी चुन्नियों की कच्ची  छत देख , बदल देती थी ठिकाना । मैं करती थी इंतज़ार हर वक़्त , हर दफा , जीते थे वो दिन, हर लम्हा हर पल सफा , अब याद ही है तेरी बस , इधर उधर सोई सी , नम  हैं ये आँखें जाने कहाँ खोई सी ॥ वो बाग़ में टहलना और पेड़ों से लटकना वो बंद कमरे में छुपके नाच के मटकना वो ब्यास नदी का पानी ठंडा था इस कदर वो छींटे मारकर ही पंछियों सा चहकना । मैं करती थी इंतज़ार हर वक़्त , हर दफा , जीते थे वो दिन, हर लम्हा हर पल सफा , अब याद ही है तेरी बस , इधर उधर सोई सी , नम  हैं ये आँखें जाने कहाँ ख...
