A Faint Smile

Wake me up, And everybody else, Because the dawn is there, Downstairs, in the kitchen, Ten minutes and the tea is here. Ready or not? Each new day, Make the breakfast, and the lunch too, Quarter to nine, "Hey I'm late", Countdown begins, Five, Four, Three, two.... The Morning Mania does not let you, Take a break for a while., But, Mother, I still find, On your face, a faint smile. The school begins, And the daily routine, Teacher's profession is not easy, I know before the clock strikes three, There, you must be very busy. Tired after six hours, You blow the horn, of the car,  I open up the gate and see you in, You dine at lunch with the little Jin, Hiding the face of a sleepy scar! Do the little chores, Like washing those silly clothes, Fed up of seeing you wash, Every second day, Why don't you just go and rest, And leave everything at bay! The Afternoon Mania does not let you, Take a break for a while., But, Mother, I still

Sometimes, I wish I had a mobile!

Sometimes, I wish I had a mobile. Like all my friends have....sometimes! With that ever-ringing landline, whenever I pick up the phone before I can hear who is on the other end, I hear a shout from the other room, "This phone! ugh! Better talk short and precise!" Ah! And then I say, "yeah! hello! ..hey.. Aanchal, how are you?..." The landline basically rings around 9pm or after 9 pm because we all (students) are awake with books on, while everyone at home is asleep! Another phone rings and I hear a shout from the other room, "You better take off that wire, exams are near...your friends are disturbing you, nothing else! Nuisance!" And I proceed, "hey Tanya,, what's up!..." With their cell phones on silent, they can pick up the calls quietly without disturbing anybody at home. But here, The Highness!! "Landline"! "Trin- Trin"! So yeah, sometimes I wish I had a mobile. Like all my friends have....sometimes!  What??

From My Balcony ... (once again)

"Nature has so much to offer only if you turn around and perceive the things more than they actually are..." That's where I ended up an year ago: ( From My Balcony... ). Its just been two days-I observed a group of pigeons in the Big-B(ird) family out here. Parrots, magpies, sparrows, {late-lateef) crows and now pigeons too!  Great!  Esp. I'd like to mention about two pigeons-white and grey! They seem to be friends. They fly together. They sit on the same branch together. They forage together. The only white pigeon in the group of grey is something you'll find very beautiful! 'Its alright and good to be different, different from all. But still no discrimination is the best thing."Unity in Diversity!" (After all its India). ' Birds are free but that doesn't change the fact that they are as responsible creatures as humans are supposed to be! And I am reminded of line from a hindi song: "Panchhi nadiyaan pawan ke jhonke, koi
